Family Holidays with Pets is an online business that showcases pet friendly accommodation for travelling pet owners in Australia. When they approached Robico Web Solutions to help them with their business, they had nothing established except their name and an idea.
To start this project on the right foot, we did some market research into the pet industry to see who their main competition is and what they are doing. The first milestone of the project was the logo design which has a man travelling with his pet dog and cat. Next we started on the website design and development. The website needed to be attractive, easy to use and fast to load. We designed a website that had all the important features (such as search, listing creation, newsletter signup) highly visible to make it easier for the people using the website to navigate. Once the website design was confirmed, we started to build the infrastructure to make the website functional. After the build and testing, the website was ready for Family Holidays with Pets to use.
To help them build their online community, we helped setup a Facebook page. We then created and managed their Facebook Ad campaigns to help build their following. We have also provided ongoing social media management to ensure they stay connected.
The pet friendly accommodation industry is very competitive so we have provided ongoing search engine optimisation (SEO) to ensure their website appears as high as possible in the Google search engine results.
Once the website was off and running, Family Holiday with Pets asked us to develop a mobile app for them which is available in the iTunes App Store. The app, FHWP Dog Park Finder AUS, has over 1000 dog parks which users can search through. This app allows you to find the dog parks closest to your current location and to get directions to your selected park. We are currently working on the next version of the app for them.
